Massage for SENIORS

For when you wonder if a regular massage may be too vigorous. It's a natural choice for those typically in the 65+ range who still want an effective massage but easier on the body massage. It will:

  1. increase circulation, ie, improve oxygen, blood flow and move waste products of cell repair.
  2. stimulate the nervous system, ie, activate endorphins, hormones  and neurotransmitter.
  3. relax the mind, increase your sense of well-being and safety.
  4. soften hardened/tight muscles and connective tissue.

Sessions are typically 30 - 60 minutes.

The 30 minute + 45 minute sessions  can be entirely face up or face down, on a massage table or in a chair, always well draped.

This work is sensitive to the physical and emotional facts of aging such as cardiac conditions, nervous system changes, skin condition, blood flow in a more sedentary lifestyle, common/multiple medical conditions.

Included is a technique that is EXCELLENT for vasodilation. In 1998, Robert Furchgott et al was awarded the Nobel Prize for Medicine for their research about nitric oxide - critical for blood vessels to dilate and drain edema.
